Dr. Sujith Zachariah – President
Dr. Sujith Zachariah founded Zachariah Institute after working in higher education for many years because helping students to succeed was not only his passion, but a life-long calling. While working closely with students in admissions and enrollment, he was able to gain a perspective of the challenges they faced while attending college.
Dr. Zachariah has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership and Organizational Change. His doctoral research was on first-generation nursing students.
Dr. Zachariah started his college career working in admissions at Harrington College of Design. Afterwards, he worked at Resurrection University and oversaw the admission process for nursing students and served on the admissions committee. He then became the Director of Admissions and Records and afterwards the Associate Dean of Enrollment Services at Triton College.
Throughout his career at Triton College, Dr. Zachariah oversaw different departments that included Admissions, Records, Community Outreach, Registration, and Testing. He was also responsible for the Allied Health Admissions process and served on healthcare admission committees. Dr. Zachariah taught several business courses at Triton College as well. During this time, he served on numerous committees, taskforces, and led several initiatives to promote student success. Dr. Zachariah was the administrator directly in charge of Testing Center at Triton College for several years and was actively involved in overseeing the implementation and administration of different exams including TEAS and Accuplacer.
Dr. Zachariah has worked closely with numerous nursing students at both associate and bachelor level programs, as well as community college students from all backgrounds. He has witnessed both student successes and challenges throughout his career. From his personal experiences, he believes that students can increase their scores drastically on entrance exams if they are prepared for it. His purpose and the priority of Zachariah Institute is to help students achieve their goals and lead successful lives.
